     This chart illustrates comparative values stored in the various word-lengths displayed.  As can be seen, upon utilizing all available BITs within any and all words the entire extent of available dynamic range is consumed.
     Many people confuse this with exploiting or having "headroom".  In actuality "filling all the BIT-buckets" continuously means that there is virutally no distinction, dynamically speaking, between silence and deafening.
     Then again, some seek to achieve that very effect....
